Major Ideologies in Education – Seminar Delivered by Paata Papava

The National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement (NCEQE) launched Seminar Series “Conversations on Education”. The seminars aim at establishing a platform that would facilitate discussions around the urgent issues in education; the seminars will focus on educational theories while bridging theory and practice in education.

Regional Torino Process Conference

 On December 3-4, 2014 Tbilisi will host the Regional Torino Process Conference of the Eastern Partnership, organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement. The Conference is supported by the European Training Foundation (ETF) and the Office of the State Minister of Georgia on European & Euro-Atlantic Integration.

Memorandum Signed with Georgian Employers’ Association

The National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement (NCEQE) signed a cooperation memorandum with the Georgian Employers’ Association. The memorandum was signed by Elene Jibladze, Director of NCEQE and Elguja Meladze, President of the Association.

WorldSkills Georgia to hold the Second National Competition

On December 18 – 21, 2014 Tbilisi will host the WorldSkills Georgia’s Second National Competition in six skilled professions such as welding, web-design, cooking, restaurant service, floristics and hairdressing.

The National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement (NCEQE) is to launch Seminar Series “Conversations on Education”. The seminars aim at establishing a platform that would facilitate discussions around the urgent issues in education; the seminars will focus on educational theories while bridging theory and practice in education. The upcoming Seminar Series will be interesting both for practicing educators and new recruits and students.

Memorandum of Cooperation Signed between Lithuanian Center for Quality Assessment in Higher Education and NCEQE

Between October 19 and 25, 2014 the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement (NCEQE) personnel paid a working visit to Vilnius by invitation of the Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (SKVC) of Lithuania. Within the framework of the visit the parties exchanged their experience and practice in terms of quality improvement in education

Presentation of Annual Report by LEPL – National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement

 LEPL – National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement (NCEQE) held its Annual Report presentation for 2013 at the Center for Training and Consultancy (CTC).

 
Elene Jibladze, Director of NCEQE provided the guests with the results of the Center‘s activities during 2013. Apart from the Annual Report, she discussed the Center’s work in achieving its objectives and benchmarks in the development of the quality of education in the period 2011-2013.

Success in WorldSkills International Competition

42nd WorldSkills International Competition held in Leipzig, Germany has ended. Georgia, as an associate member, participated for the first time. Georgia was represented by three contestants of Worldskills Georgia team: Ucha Ghviniashvili a web-designer, Evgeni Morozov a welder and Tinatin Iordanishvili a cook.

Seminar on VET education

Within the framework of the EU-funded ”Quality Enhancement and Capacity Building Support Programme”, being jointly implemented by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement, a Self-Evaluation Seminar for institutions offering VET educational programs was held in the hotel “Vere Palace” on March 21-22 and March 26-27.

During July 2–7, 2013 Leipzig (Germany) will host the global event in Vocational Education and Training. 42nd WorldSkills Competition will take place there and Georgia will join the competition for the first time.
