Students of Vocational Colleges of Georgia to Participate in WorldSkills Competition
During July 2–7, 2013 Leipzig (Germany) will host the global event in Vocational Education and Training. 42nd WorldSkills Competition will take place there and Georgia will join the competition for the first time.
Today the first organizational meeting was held at the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia. The meeting was attended by the personnel of the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, the representatives of German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), German Business Association in Georgia and other stakeholders. The meeting was focused on defining the action plans; a discussion was held on dealing with essential issues for participation in WorldSkills Competition.
Participation in WorldSkills Competition will promote the development and popularization of Vocational Education and Training in Georgia and will further enhance the significance of Vocational Education and Training.
