The 24th Annual Meeting of ENIC-NARIC Network

LEPL – National Center of Educational Quality Enhancement participated in 24th annual meeting of ENIC-NARIC Network, held on June, 22-25, 2017 in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The main topics of the meeting were: the industrial revolution and the challenges for recognition, the substantial differences according to Lisbon Recognition Convention, the Global Recognition Convention and recognition of the education held by refugees.

Danish and Norwegian ENIC-NARIC representatives shared their experience on substantial differences in the practice of recognition of foreign education.

Elaborating of Recommendations on Recognition of education held by refugees by the European Commission was announced, which should be approved in November 2017.

In parallel to the Recommendations on Recognition of Education held by Refugees working on the Draft of Global Convention on Recognition is ongoing, which will be forwarded to all countries for comments and suggestions. The Global Convention on Recognition aims at widening the Network of Countries, which implement the common principles of fair recognition.

The presentations about the educational system of Nigeria and Eritrea were held as well.

The annual meeting of ENIC-NARIC Network promotes the sharing of good practices on recognition, the exchange of information about the educational systems of the countries and the transparent and fair recognition of foreign education.
