Next working meeting on qualifications development

The National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement took part in the workshop on issues of higher education qualifications, arranged by the Council of Europe in Strasbourg on September 4, 2018. Representatives from 37 countries participated in the workshop.

The main topics discussed at the meeting were the full integration of short cycle qualifications in the framework of higher education qualifications and the ways of integrating "Competencies for Democratic Culture" (CDC) in the National Qualifications Framework.
The National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement analyzed the National Qualifications Framework at the national level and as a result, developed a revised framework document that is in full compliance with the European Qualifications Framework.
Approval of the renewed national qualifications document envisages the relevant legislative amendments. The Parliament of Georgia has already passed two hearings and the final third hearing planned in the second half of September.
