The European Association for Quality Assurance in higher Education (ENQA)

The European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) is an umbrella organisation which represents its members at the European level and internationally. ENQA members are quality assurance agencies from the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) that operate in the field of higher education.

ENQA contributes significantly to the maintenance and enhancement of the quality of European higher education, and  acts as a major driving force for the development of quality assurance across all the Bologna Process signatory countries by promoting European co-operation in the field of quality assurance in higher education and disseminating information and expertise among its members and towards stakeholders in order to develop and share good practice and to foster the European dimension of quality assurance.

Since its establishment NCEQE is actively involved in ENQA’s activities and events. From February 2013 till April 25 NCEQE used to be the Affiliate of ENQA.

In February 2018 NCEQE officially applied to ENQA for Membership and in April 2018 submitted the Self-Evaluation Report for the ENQA Review.

At its meeting of 25 April 2019, the Board of ENQA took the decision to grant the NCEQE membership of ENQA for five years from that date. The Board concluded that NCEQE is in compliance with the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG 2015) and fulfills the membership criteria.
